Our Little Boy Marcus

We started writing things down because everyone said it goes so fast and they were right. One day he was this tiny thing who just slept and cried and the next he was pulling himself up on the furniture and trying to eat the remote control.

Marcus was born in the spring and weighed just over seven pounds. He had a full head of dark hair which surprised everyone because neither of us had much hair as babies. He still has it now and it goes everywhere no matter what we do with it.

The first few months were a blur of feeds and nappies and trying to remember which side you fed from last. Then he started smiling and suddenly none of the tiredness mattered anymore. He smiled at everyone. The postman, the lady in the supermarket, the dog next door. Equal opportunities smiling.

He is crawling now and into absolutely everything. Nothing below knee height is safe. We have had to move all the books off the bottom shelf and put gates on every door. He thinks the gates are a personal challenge.

We keep all the photos, updates, and milestones over on the journal for family and friends to follow along.
